Moscow International Peace Marathon starts at the Red Square
in front of one of the considered most beautiful and
famous shrines on Earth St.Basils Cathedral.
Flat as a pancake and an extremely fast course. And is probably
one of the most picturesque routes in the world, steeped with
history and tradition.
It runs along the Moscow River through beautiful and historic
parts of the city along the walls of the Moscow Kremlin, past
the newly restored Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the Gorky
Park, Peter the Great Monument, and other spectacular landmarks,
palaces and ancient Orthodox churches with golden cupolas.
The finish is in front of the Russia Hotel near the Start
area in full view of the magnificent domes of St.Basils
Cathedral.
Certainly a sight to behold and an event well worth making
the trip for. The course time limit is 6 hours.
