Thx Albert (next time, I'll include a Spanish version).
And thx Stef4n for completing the survey and the good luck wishes for the race, I really hope to get some seconds op my PR of 36:41. Today I hardly feel yesterday's paced 5k in my legs. I hope that's a sign I can keep up that pace for 10k...

Hi TheEd,
Today I did my 3*5' in 3:52, 3:41, 3:36, HR in the 160's on average, 178 max (final interval). A bit slower than planned, but that was due to the terrain I was running. The legs felt good and I ran slightly over 18k together with warming up and some easy km afterwards. Might have been a bit much this close to the race, but I took it easy and I was enjoying the weather and nature. Looking forward to the race! Cheers, Will [SIZE="1"]Runners! Hi TheEd,
My second child, a healthy baby girl, was born on the 30th of september, so I missed the race were I planned to PR. Naturally I didn't exactly manage to get in a lot of training and sleeping hours the past few weeks, but I raced a decent 37:01 10k yesterday. I wasn't satisfied, because I finished 3rd and was nr 1 until km 8. Better race tactics, a bit more sleep or a bit more km would have made all the difference... So back to the cycles: I will run my 2k session at the end of this week. My best, Will [SIZE="2"]Runners! congrats on the baby Will .. magnificent news
and well done on the run considering what have YOU planned for now other than changing diapers? Cheers TheEd

Thanks
Does "walking in circles while holding a baby girl in order to make the baby girl sleep" count as cross training? I have a 15k run on 18k. I'm aiming at 59:00 or less. Leonard Komon ran 41.13 (WR) on this course in 2010 and Tirunesh Dibaba ran the women's WR in 2009 (46.28), so the course is fast enough. I hope I'll be too...

sounds good for cross training
so a 15k on the 18 November? Cheers TheEd

Right, 15k on 18th of November... (lack of sleep has other effect besides making me run slower).

Hi TheEd
After a proper week of running, I managed to do a 4*2k (No time for 5*2). The results: time hr_ave hr_max 7:20 165 171 7:21 165 175 7:23 165 177 7:20 167 176 Pretty satisfied with those times and HRs, felt in control and pretty comfortable doing these. Cheers, Will |
