Hi, I go to the gym regularly to work out and all, and my main goal is basically to be healthier, and burn some fat. I use to weight about 220 or 230 pounds when I was younger; Iâââ‰â¢m now 18, 5'9 190 pounds. I actually gained weight, because I was 175, but I started college (freshman), and gained allot during my first semester.
Anyways, I want to be able to run 3 miles in under 18 minutes.
Why? Because back when I was in high school I was certain I was going to join the Marines. So I trained on my own and lost all the weight because of it. One of the things I needed to be able to do was run 3 miles in under 18 minutes to be eligible for Recon in the Marines. I went to college instead and gained weight, but I started going back to the gym, and I still hope to run 3 miles in 18 minutes or under, along with my other goal of going back down to 170 or 180 of good muscle.
I'm still thinking about going into the Marines or Navy to help pay for college and all, or even after college because having a military background would really help in the career I'm aiming for, FBI.
Right now Iâââ‰â¢m able to run a good mile in 10 minutes. Itâââ‰â¢s bad I know, at least I think, and I know itâââ‰â¢s going to take a long time; which is why I need help forming a good schedule so I can run 3 miles in 18 minutes or less.
