no need for the 5 x 2k session .. you have the 1k session coming up and that should be suffice in going towards the next 10km race
instead of banging yourself in the 5 x 2km go for a paced 8km run around 4.45 to 5 minutes per k
this session will not be as taxing but will provide something to work on before the 1000m session
leg discrepancy is normal for runners during 1-on-1 training I would have been able to pickup such problems and rectify them before they become chronic
