Yes, tried acupuncture too, no joy from it. The doctor sent me for an x-ray to establish whether its "wear and tear" of the bones or a trapped nerve, so we know what we are dealing with.Either way he said theres not much they can do with either- so i ran my first half marathon today with no preperation just to see if i could complete it and in what time.
I didnt run it "seriously" and ran for a mile and a half talking to a friend at a low tempo.I then upped my pace and caught up with another guy around the 6miles mark, whom i conversated with till around 10 miles before pushing on a little at the end and completing it comfortably in around 1hr 44mins.
To summarise, forget the injury, TIME TU RUN! :great:
