Hi TheEd,
yes, I know the HR ranges are quite good (that's one reason I thought the Half could have been a bit faster).
Fro my last Half-Marathon/Marathon performance I get a factor of
"2:51:13" / "1:19:57" = 10273 / 4797 = 2.141547
This is quite bad as an average factor seems to be around 2.11
I guess a good goal for my marathon pace would be somewhere between
"1:16:30" *2.11 = "2:41:25" = 3:49.5 / km
and
"1:16:30"*2.14 ="2:43:43" = 3:52.7 / km
but I still dream of sub 2:40... which would mean a factor of less than 2.091503
The next few days are quite decissive: I yesterday did a 8k p.m. run (a.m. swimming) and felt horrible, 6/km pace.
Today a 11k am run felt much better and I could run normal regenerative pace of 4:50/k. I will be cautious and do only another 11k at pm today and see if I rebound. If I could do two weeks of good training I would probably try to go for the 2:40... with even splits so
1:20 at the half!
