MarkG .. when last did you take a break, you mention not being able to get faster
often we recommend a short off-period, even if it is only 1 week and then recommend a 2 week build-up
almost all the time the athlete returns refreshed and mid-way through the first cycle they can move onto a new level
would you feel that this could benefit you?
