Oki. So I could speed up the 2K's for sure, just not wanting to "race" the training. I'll see how my 6 Mile race does next Monday and go from there. I always jog or walk during my 2K recoveries so that may have something to do with why my HR stays higher. It usually drops to about 130-135 b/w reps before I start again. I just figured out how to find my HR at the end of the recovery b/w reps.
Here's data from past 2 sessions.
2000's
Time AVG / Max / Lowest Rest
7:54 / 164 / 176 / 109
7:36 / 165 / 178 / 134
7:49 / 171 / 178 / 118
7:47 / 172 / 181 / 116
7:47 / 173 / 182 / 122
And the 1000's again, but with lowest recovery HR at end of 1 minute est
Time AVG / Max / Lowest Rest
3:43 / 160 / 172 / 103
3:40 / 165 / 176 / 88
3:41 / 164 / 177 / 92
3:42 / 164 / 177 / 105
3:43 / 165 / 176 / 118
3:41 / 169 / 179 / 108
You tell me, but I think I could speed up the 2000's a tad more and aim for closer to 7:40 per rep? That'd be 3:50 / K which would be closer to the difference b/w my 1K rep 5K pace and 2K rep 10K pace.
