Currently busy finalising an article on Racing a 10k
won't be out in time before Sunday however, it mentions that your 1st km is at your 6 x 1k pace .. no need to go quicker than that
then you settle into a rhythm of running your overall pace per km
1km at a time, focusing only on hitting the split for that 1km, never try to make up for a slow km
from 2km to 7km the idea is to stay relaxed at speed, from 7km, you have to bring your arms into it and to work at hitting the target times per km . the overall pace
then the last 1km should more or less be the same as the first km
