TheEd,
After my 5K last Saturday, I followed the 20-30 minutes recover days, rest on Monday instead of running 20-30 due to being too tired from work related stuff.
Wednesday ran 10k in about 72 minutes.
Thursday 46 minutes over very hilly course 6k.
Friday, weather pretty nice 65F. With 1 mile warm up and 1 mile cool down.
The splits are as follows. I realized that I ran one lap short in the second 2k, since I was looking at the time, saw 20:40 and stopped, forgot to add the 2 minutes rest time.
1st | 2K | 10:22.32 | 5:11.16/K | AHR 168 | MHR 180
rest 2 minutes jogging, AHR 170
2nd | 1.6K | 8:18:23 | 5:11.39/K | AHR 183 | MHR 189
rest 2 minutes jogging, AHR 173
3rd | 2K | 10:12.30 | 5:06.15/K | AHR 185 | MHR 194
Felt easier than the first cycle, heart rate about the same. Better pace control this time around.
