regarding Heart Rate and fitness ..
when you take you pulse in the morning, if it is abnormally higher than normal then it can be an indicator that there is a sickness / virus within the system
when doing the pre-build up, it is a recovery style / type of running and should never be performance related
once you move into the build up, the pace would normally pick up for the same HR .. so for example if you running 130 - 140 bpm for a pace of 5 minutes to 5.10 per k .. a couple of weeks later you could be travelling 10 seconds per k quicker for the same 130 to 140 bpm
