doing a time-trial and doing a race are 2 entirely different events (some people do not rise their adrenalin naturally except during races, event stimulus plays an important role in performance)
the ability to deliver during a race is what it is all about so don't be too disheartened and yes, do give the program a little more time
the 2000's are really what makes the program and the more of those sessions you do the more 'hardened' you become to racing
onwards and forwards
