The long term goals:
After the next 10 k, I`m not quite sure where to take it. Just want to keep going and stay injury free.
As soon as the skiing season arrives (most often January, but sometimes also in December), I`m planning to do a lot of cross country skiing. Like two, three times a week (which is more than I`ve done the last years). Hopefully I`ll be able to continue running as well, but the mix will be more like 50/50 or 66/33 skiing/running. We`ll see...
I`m going to do a couple of 40-50 km cross country races during January to March. With the most "important" one taking place in March.
After that I`ll prepare for another 10 k during late April (maybe aiming a bit further down on the thirties...
As for next years running after that, I`ll have to decide if I want to try the marathon distance or if I`ll just stay with 10 and 21 one more season. Might also be fun to do some shorter races, who knows. I think that actually may be more according to my physical talent, but I prefer competitions that lasts longer than 10-15 minutes
As for todays session, here are my splits:
3:48
3:40
3:47
3:41
3:51
3:52
I was a bit unsatisfied with the legs being more heavy than I hoped for. In two of the laps I actually felt two different other runners "chased" me (which made for two laps being run a bit quicker than planned for).
I still feel a tiny bit behind the sub 40 schedule, but we`ll just see. I`ve not been that good with eating and staying off the bear this autumn
:duh:
