Hi,
I just wantes to say that I`ve managed to put the injury problems behind me for a while, and have had a decent autumn of running so far.
I took an off period containing only quite easy, quite short runs during holidays in late July, early August, and have since then gradually stepped it up again. The leg problem has gradually disappeared, and hopefully will stay away for some time!
21st of September I raced 21 k at 1.31.53.
Pretty pleased with that!
And for the moment I have recently started on another sub 40 cycle, which will end with a 10k race taking place October 19th.
I feel a bit less fit than I was in April, when I ran 39.02, and have possibly put on some weight. But I think it`s possible to do a good race. The goal is to reproduce a sub 40 time, which I think will be a great end of the season. Everything above (or litteraly spoken, below) will be pure bonus.
So, here are my splits from the 5x2k last Thursday:
7:45
7:58
7:51
7:54
7:59
As you can see, not a perfect session according to the schedule, but not that far away either. Legs are feeling a bit heavy, but I`m on my way, I think.
Will report on the 6x1ks tomorrow!
Great to be back on track:jester:
