Turns out I was sick. So after a day of vomit and a few days of diarhoea I am definitely missing the spirit of christmas. Have wisely decided to call it quits this week and I will see how I go next week. Hopefully I can run the race next week but I'm setting no goals. Once I'm back up and running their are no races planned for January/ february would it make sense to take a break and try a build up period?
