Not a clue, I'm afraid.
I had the race on Sat 14/5 - nothing
I ran 1 hour easy on Sun 15/5 - nothing
On the Monday when I started running I felt the niggles in the right achilles tendon. Only during first 30 seconds, and then again after 5 minutes for a couple of strides only.
Actually it hasn't gotten worse since then, but not better either.
It seems I can run my paced runs without any niggles, it's only on the easy runs I feel them during first strides and sometimes at a few strides in the middle of a run.
But I can't see any factors that are the same when I feel the niggle during the runs - like slopes or so..
Also, I've never experienced it before in my life
