Off Training Period Day 14 of 14
Time: 60.04 Distance: 9.24km Pace: 6.30/k Average HR: 138 http://bit.ly/TPFtI7 That's the end of the 2 week off training period, moving onto the 3 week build up period tomorrow. For the build up period do I keep running with an average HR of 130-140 bpm as I have been? Cheers, Boony Start Weight: 87.5Kg (6th Oct) Current Weight: 83.1Kg (22nd Oct [AM]) Target Weight: 79.4Kg (16th Dec) Today's Resting HR: 63

yes stick to that bpm, during this build-up there should be a change in the pace at the same bpm
so you on track enjoy the process, especially when you begin to look forward to the 2k session Cheers TheEd

Build Up Period Day 1 of 21
Time: 60.02 Distance: 9.54km Pace: 6.17/k Average HR: 138 http://bit.ly/WFEKj3 Start of the Builld Up Period, feels like i'm in a good place to get some good sessions in over the next 3 weeks and hit the ground running (literally) when I start on the sub-40min plan. Resting HR was a little higher this morning, but this didn't seem to translate into a HR increase in my running. My weight has also dropped below 13 stone for the first time in over four years, so I should notice some differences when I come to do the quicker sessions. So far, so good! Cheers, Boony Start Weight: 87.5Kg (6th Oct) Current Weight: 82.1Kg (23rd Oct [AM]) Target Weight: 79.4Kg (16th Dec) Today's Resting HR: 69

let's watch the morning HR so we can see whether there is a pattern and if there is maybe something other than 'intrinsic' causing the change in HR
ask questions for further clarity if needed TheEd :jive:

Build Up Period Day 2 of 21
Time: 60.03 Distance: 9.31km Pace: 6.27/k Average HR: 138 http://bit.ly/VDvpsw Ok, lets keep an eye on it. It was up again this morning, this time it did result in me having to go at a slower pace. I'm feeling healthy, although there is a sore throat thing going around the office. Could a lack of sleep cause a higher HR? Cheers, Boony Start Weight: 87.5Kg (6th Oct) Current Weight: 81.7Kg (24th Oct [AM]) Target Weight: 79.4Kg (16th Dec) Today's Resting HR: 68
