Hi Ed
I certainly felt very focused afterwards. Don't know if it makes sense but it seemed as big an achievement as my interval times?

keith .. once you get the balance of the program right, and what each session is intended for, your running becomes more enjoyable
it is great to know why we train and where the training is going there is a time to train and a time to test we train to race enjoy TheEd

Hello Ed
Had an enforced break over the weekend as I felt really coldy with a sniffly nose and cough so today was my first run since Friday as I felt back to normal. I wanted a flat run to experiment with keeping a steady HR rate for an extended period. Target was 150 - 153 but pushed on Km8 and the last bit which raised the average slightly. Weather was pants and got soaked. Distance: 11.56 km Time: 1:02:38 Avg Pace: 5:24 min/km Elevation Gain: 192 m Avg HR: 154 bpm Max HR: 166 bpm Avg Run Cadence: 170 spm Max Run Cadence: 178 spm What session would you suggest for tomorrow with the 5K race on Thursday? Thanks Keith

That's a phenomenal performance and a massive incentive to stay with the programme.
So an easy 30 or 60 mins tomorrow as per day 13 for me?

yes, and focus on keeping things relaxed, not testing yourself
come out of the run feeling that you did what you needed, no more, no less on we go TheEd |
