The first edition of Tanaosri Trail was held in 2015; this year, it took place 11-13 December. TNT is a highly attractive trail race for experienced trail-runners, both from Thailand and from all around the world.
Tanaosri 2020 Trail ends successfully
In order to strictly follow the public health protocols, the organisers creatively solved the overcrowding issue, by allocating the athletes into different groups and creating Day and Night races. Athletes had the opportunity to select their participation in either the Day or the Night group. The aforementioned decision aided TNT to become the largest trail running race in Thailand in terms of participants – despite the ongoing pandemic.
The race has become famous not only due to its location, which sets quite close to Bangkok making it convenient to visit, but also due to its geographical advantages, including a steep climb to a mountaintop. Tanaosri Trail is also popular for its variety of scenic views and surroundings, as well as for its handful of challenging technical routes. Additionally, 110K, 70K, 50K, 30K, and 20K racecourses have been qualified by ITRA and the participants who successfully completed the race have been awarded ITRA points in order to extend their individual trail-running journey.
