Hi B .. nope .. get back on the horse
you went through 3km in around 11 minutes, that is far too fast
if you get to 4km over 16 minutes you should be able to accelerate
due to your lack of aerobic conditioning you cannot and must not go out fast as you put your system under duress too early and without an endurance base to work off you do not give yourself much chance
do a 4km time-trial around Monday and I am sure you would go sub 16 minutes
please learn from this experience and start racing using your head with a very real understanding of your physical training
You should have gone close to sub 20 today
don't be disheartened .. BUT .. you must learn from this experience
chin up .. the next time you will crack it
