An easy week sounds always good Smile
Finishing the third week, but had to skip a few training days. My plan is now to do my first half maratón on 25/9. So I think i will do a long run this saturday (last day of this cycle) and then start a new cycle with the half maraton as the long run of week 1. No plans for the half maraton but finishing in hopefully under 2 hours in controlled fashion. Will then do a tester at the end of next cycle.

ironic that one day after your post I injured myself doing running technique/progressive running without experience (hamstring strain
?, i feel it just under the gluteus near the bone) :noway:. Cannot run with it. I'm now fully resting and hopefully i can run the half mara next sunday. If not I'll rest more

finished the halfmaraton after 8 days of non running. Ran slowly just under 2hr but still was an effort after the pause. The niggle was still there but is healing. Will do easy running this week and a tester next weekend?

just updating I am still limiting myself to easy running this week until the thing in the gluteus disappears. I think next week i can do series again and start a new cycle. Soon my second year at timetorun will start, hoping to get better times this year. Thanks for all the guidance so far Smile

after doing 2 weeks of a cycle, did a 10k today with result 42'23sec, somewhere in line with my form before summer.
Going to start a new circle next week.

do you know what your 'fighting weight', best racing weight is?
