Kenyans dominant in Moonlight Half Marathon 2017
The 7th Moonlight Half Marathon applauded the victory of two Kenyan athletes: Julius Kipngetich Rono who won with 1h04’08 and Pauline Eapan with 1h15’26.

Many athletes took the sporting opportunity to spend a sun and sea weekend with families and friends, creating a major promotional and economic induction for the territory. All previous records have been broken with 3,673 finishers on the Half Marathon and 1,752 finishers on the 10K.
There were 47 foreign countries represented. Among the most exotic are the United States, Argentina, Mexico, Ecuador and the Philippines, while at the European level the most participant countries were Austria (76), Germany (41), France (27) and Great Britain (25). Among the Italians, all 20 regions of Italy have been represented, and among them almost 200 athletes coming from South Tyrol.
Always remaining in numbers: more than 1000 volunteers involved in the various organizational sectors, 20 rescuers on the course with 4 ambulances, 1 medical motorcycle and 1 fixed rescue station. Also this year, there was the Bls-Run-Team, with a group of runners enabled for cardiovascular resuscitation and early defibrillation.
There were over 7,000 t-shirts made by Karhu. Acqua San Benedetto provided 80,000 bottles and 10,000 glasses, about 10,000 liters of Gatorade. Palmisano provided 14,000 packs of “Bussolai” biscuits in race packs , 20,000 pieces of traditional biscuits along the course and 1,200 packages for the Hospitality Area. Battaglio provided 20 quintals of bananas and 10 quintals of oranges. Gasparini Group has provided vans and cars to handle the entire fleet and logistics of the event, and the official carrier was Air France.
