Blincoe and Robertson added to World Track & Field Champs Team
Two further selections have been announced for the New Zealand team competing at the World Track & Field Champs in Daegu, Korea 27 August – 4 September.
Adrian Blincoe and Jake Robertson (both 5000 metres) have been added to the team by the Athletics New Zealand selectors. Blincoe’s selection comes following his A standard performance of 13 min 18.27 seconds in Spain at the weekend, while Robertson is in the team as a result of his B standard performance of 13 min 22.38 seconds in Belgium in May.
Nick Willis (1500 metres) and Quentin Rew (50km walk) were previously added to the team following recent performances.
Andrea Miller (100 metres hurdles) has withdrawn from the team following surgery on a long term back injury.
Any further selections will be notified at the end of the qualifying period on 8 August.
