Tallinn Marathon 42,195 km Sunday 10th September at 09.00
The Tallinn Marathon starts from the city centre traversing the UNESCO declared Old Town of Tallinn. For the first time, marathon runners are taken to the historical and bohemian district of Kalamaja and on to scenic seaside trail across the Stroomi beach paths. The route continues to Northern Tallinn and via the Culture Kilometre runners head to Rocca al Mare entering the territory of the Estonian Open Air Museum, where magnificent views are guaranteed. Along Stroomi beach runners will then reach the Fat Margaret tower and
head to the finish on the Freedom Square.
Only the first and last quarter of the marathon track are the same which makes it easier and more interesting for the marathon runners to enjoy their journey.
Tallinn Marathon events – Half Marathon 21,1 km Sunday 10th September at 12.00
The Half-marathon starts from the City Centre, taking runners to Rocca al Mare and then along the scenic seaside trail upon the Stroomi beach paths. Runners will also experience the Northern Tallinn, Telliskivi and bohemian Kalamaja district, finishing on the Freedom Square.
Tallinn Marathon events – 10 km Saturday 9th September at 17.00
For the first time the 10km will start in the afternoon. The 10km start takes place next to the Freedom Square. The 10km course takes the runners to the renovated bohemian Kalamaja district, where the participants pass the Seaplane Harbour,the Noblessner foundry, the Patarei prison and the Kalasadam harbour. The runners will continue through the historical Northern Tallinn industrial district and after crossing the railway, the course will, for the first time, lead through the Telliskivi Creative City. The final kilometers will bring the participants back to the Freedom Square.
