Bostrom seeks Olympic Qualifier in Copenhagen
Mårten Boström from Finland comes to the Nykredit Copenhagen Marathon with the intention of posting an Olympic Qualifier.
The time he seeks to run is 2:15
Boström comes from an Orienteering background and won the silver medal at the World Junior Orienteering Championships in 2001. In 2004, he achieved 3rd place at the European Orienteering Championships.
He has represented Finland in Orienteering, Cross Country and Track.
The Finn comes into Copenhagen with a marathon Personal Best of 2:18:51 from 2008 but looks to improve on this significantly as he goes looking for the London standard.
The Finnish athlete has been training in Tanzania in preparation for Copenhagen and has run 2 half marathons in 67 minutes as he prepares for the pace needed to achieve his Olympic dream.
The Nykredit Copenhagen Marathon on May 22nd hopes to provide a success for this ambition.
