Runners from 49 states and 25 countries quickly filled more than 3,000 'open' slots available for the April 27, 2014 marathon distance. The popular Boston 2 Big Sur Challenge has also sold out and the Runner's World Challenge VIP experience is picking up pace. A limited number of charity entries for the 26.2 mile distance remain open, and availability for concurrent races of varying distances along scenic Highway One including the 21-Miler, marathon relay, 9-Miler and 5K still exists. The popular 10.6-Miler has not yet opened for registration. Total registration numbers for all Sunday events exceed 10,000.
