BOSTON - Ever dream about running across home plate at Fenway Park as the crowd cheers you on? Want to help provide much needed services to wounded veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan?
The 2011 Run to Home Base Presented by New Balance - set for Sunday, May 22 - is a 9K fundraising run through scenic Boston ending with a timed finish at the iconic Green Monster and photo finish of you crossing home plate at historic Fenway Park. Friends and family can watch you from the ballpark stands with food, entertainment and fun family activities available in the concourses of America's Most Beloved Ballpark.
Run to Home Base, produced by DMSE, will honor our nation's veterans and raise funds for the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base Program. Only 2,500 people can run in this fundraiser and advanced registration is required. Runners must raise $1000 to participate.
