New Zealand Junior and Half Marathon Teams - TheEd - 01-06-2012

The World Junior Championships

Athletics New Zealand has announced the addition of the two more athletes to the team that will travel to Barcelona for the World Junior Championships in July. Nicholas Southgate (Auckland) will compete in the Pole Vault, whilst Phil Simms (Waikato BOP) will line up in the 400m Hurdles. The team will leave New Zealand on the 17th June to complete their preparations for the championships at meets in Europe.

Unfortunately Kerry Charlesworth and Leesa Lealaisalanoa have been forced to withdraw from team due to injury, reducing the team size to 13.

The team will be led by:

Terry Lomax (Team Leader)
Maria Hassan (Team Coach)
Didier Poppe (Team Coach)
Tawhai Whitewood (Physiotherapist)

and the

Oceania Half Marathon and Marathon Championship Team

Athletics New Zealand has announced their selections for the team that will travel to the Gold Coast, Australia to compete at the 2012 Oceania Half Marathon and Marathon Championships.

Two athletes have been named in the team.

Stephen Lett (Marathon)
Danielle Ingram-Trevis (Half Marathon)

The Oceania Half Marathon and Marathon Championships will be held on the 1st July, 2012.
