5km training - beatule1 - 02-11-2009

Good afternoon!

I did my hour run.
What do you mean by shot off? Did I get worse?Sad:duh:

Beatule

p.s. Is it possible to know which days will I be running this week?

Hi B .. what I meant was you were aiming at a reasonable goal of sub 20 for your next race, which was 'reasonable' and then you mentioned sub 19 for the next race

hence .. and then you shot off

bolted into a different category

Running Wednesday .. 1000's

then Friday and Sunday

hope that is OK?

Cheers

Hi TheEd,

Thank you for explanation. My goal is 20:00, but what I meant that even 19:59 would look nicer! As I promised -Im listening to my coach as I want to get better!Smile

Tomorrow- how many 1000's and what speed?

With Sunday.. It's my only rest day and I never do any kind oftraining that day..is it possible to plan somehow else? Like Friday and Thursday? I can even run 4days a week if it's the case to reach my goal but please please no Sunday..:notworthy:

repeat previous 1000m session .. Rest 60 seconds

and if you feeling comfortable by the 3rd one you can increase the pace by 5 seconds per 1000

and .. I thought you were calling for a sub 19 next time out Wink

were'nt you Big Grin

Cheers and enjoy

Goodevening!

I had fun again!Smile first 3 1000s I in 4:10 and last 2 - 4:05.

As usual - first is the hardest - I think it takes a while for me to get the rythm in my breathing and running. I warmed up for longer than usual but still the same feeling at the begining.. ?

I felt good. I think around 85% through all of them. 5s faster I don't think I felt any harder. New good tracks on my iPod gave me a good lift!Smile

When am I running next?Smile

thank you coach!

Beatule

p.s. do you run? Smile

5km training - TheEd - 04-11-2009

you can go for an easy 30 to 40 minutes tomorrow so you can slot a run in on Saturday

keep it easy as you ran reasonably hard today

Good stuff

Ok! Smile

re p.s. are you running?

5km training - TheEd - 05-11-2009

Hi B .. when I got severe anemia in 84 I focused on coaching

and by 87 the coaching took priority, so my running routine took a back side

and my running currently is not as consistent or as effective as I would like

concentrating too much on internet development Wink

maybe insufficient rest since the 1000's

please monitor your legs as you do not want to create chronic fatigue
