Quiquesubway 10k Training - Quiquesubway - 21-04-2009

i can either race on Sunday or skip it and just go for the long run. i don't care since it's possible i can't make it to the race on time. i can do the long run early morning and don't bother my wife about leaving soon so i can make it to the race. i will only know by Sunday if i will make it or not. suppose you're cool with that anyways.

cheers

=) Quique

well the long run at this moment is more beneficial as it adds to development

however the choice is yours

Hello, i didn't run yesterday (worked all day...15hrs straight)--and didn't woke up soon enough today for the 2000's and might not be able to run in the afternoon either...my wife got a swollen gum and she might need to have a tooth removed!
Anyway, i need the rest. I'll do the 2000's tomorrow and let you know how it went then. Thanks!

Best Regards

Quique

this certainly is good progress

remember this 2000m session the 1000's and the long run are the most important sessions

you can juggle those sessions around as you doing now but do not try to catch up on the other runs as you will not give yourself the balance needed on these programs

the secret to training is consistency and this is something you need to aim for in your future training

for now simply enjoy the ability to run

ps.. have a good weekend

Quiquesubway 10k Training - Quiquesubway - 25-04-2009

yes, consistency is the key! i'm a recreational jogger and i do this for fitness more than for anything else. but yes, i do have to balance it with my business. i was wondering: is it ok to run miles instead of 1000's once in a while...maybe at a faster pace?

have a wonderful weekend yourself as well!!! thanks

Quiquesubway 10k Training - TheEd - 25-04-2009

recreational joggers hardly ever manage the 2000m session you did, so you are well above average as a runner Wink

I am all for balancing life and running and the fun aspect however then you must also not expect too much in the form of results

things are working out quite well for you now, so if you happy with that then we are all happy

Thanks! The truth is that i'm confident that i will make 40 mins or less at a 10K... maybe sooner than expected! On Wednesday practice will try to run the 1000's consistently under 4:00 (3:55-58)
Today's run was nice! I love changing the scenery every now and then. Went bouncing some high hills today and finished at 1hr 22 with 10.2 miles

Tomorrow's also a long day at work but will run 30 mins at 5am. Yeah, i'm focused!

Cheers
