coming off base phase/when to up the pace. - TheEd - 07-07-2015 why do hill session when knee sore keep things easy 1% incline for treadmill TheEd coming off base phase/when to up the pace. - JonathanWardley - 07-07-2015 Hi ED, Just read your post bit too late i did the hill session knee was great actually ran really well over the 1hour hill session 75 mins tommorrow all seems ok.regards jon. coming off base phase/when to up the pace. - TheEd - 07-07-2015 do look after yourself TheEd coming off base phase/when to up the pace. - JonathanWardley - 08-07-2015 Thanks Ed, On reflection it was not the smartest piece of training i ever did!But will take the good advise and rest up today feel tired after the hills. coming off base phase/when to up the pace. - JonathanWardley - 09-07-2015 HI Ed, Having a few problems with a sore ankle now.I think my calf is knotted up and causing a blockage hence the ankle pain..So it's a case of cross training on the spin bike until things are ok.Least i can do some weight's etc that in truth have skipped for a while so it's not all bad.Thinking it's best to increase the build up to six weeks and keep things easy and relaxed.as shown things are not quiet but will get there..all for now regards jon. coming off base phase/when to up the pace. - TheEd - 09-07-2015 the calf muscle supports the ankle, moving onto the treadmill could have affected the calf do lower the time & intensity, and see if things return to normal a gradual pickup of training on the treadmill maybe hope you in good spirits TheEd coming off base phase/when to up the pace. - JonathanWardley - 10-07-2015 Hi ED, thankyou for your post. I managed 1 hour spinning yestoday which was good 140-155 bpm Not going to get upset about this little problem only work on other areas of the body until things are ok. On a nicer note i submitted my last three races to british masters selectors for the 4 nation cross country in dublin this coming november Big focus for me if i can make the team! I plan now to keep things rolling forward the best i can so really stay on build up for a full 6 weeks. I think i have plenty of time to get thing going well so just have too wait..All for now regards jon. coming off base phase/when to up the pace. - TheEd - 10-07-2015 great to hear about the Dublin plan take care, after the 1st 3 weeks, do consider doing a paced run enjoy TheEd coming off base phase/when to up the pace. - JonathanWardley - 10-07-2015 Thanks Ed, Had to take a few painkillers today and just rested up..Thankfully the weather is bad so i can sit with my feet up..Hopefully this little problem will go away and can focus on better things..Dublin is a big deal i just hope the selectors feel kind and let me be one of the 9 man team would mean the world too me..All for now regards jon. coming off base phase/when to up the pace. - JonathanWardley - 24-07-2015 Hi Ed, Just a few lines to say i am starting to recover from two weeks of hell in terms of pain and hospitalisation.I plan to rest up over the weekend and start up on the spin bike monday just to sweat and hopefully detox all the painkillers etc out of my system. It turns out i had an infection that caused this little nightmare.Well that's all for now nice to be back in the land of the living regards jon. |
