No race today - def best idea. Had a nice date y/day afternoon, extended to the evening as we get on so well  was a gentleman and came home after  Another date is on the agenda :jive: Date lead to late finish home and bed. Noticed some residual green 'Gunk' this morn so looks like it was def an infection - ho hum. Thinking of a swim session tomorrow eve to ease back in - what sort of indications should I look for knowing when can start up running again? Completely no 'gunk' first in morn? Quite looking forward to a waddle on Tues if up to it. Forgot to take pulse so far - will do in morning... Cheers and catchup soon, D 10K Training Program Question - TheEd - 21-11-2010 the green gunk man does not leave that early you best other indication to look out for is muscle fatigue when walking up and down stairs you will be back quicker than the granny can shout bingo .. so do give yourself a chance enjoy the life TheEd 10K Training Program Question - Hyperspace - 22-11-2010 TheEd, No swim this eve...too tired from what seemed to a busy w/end. Didn't get enough sleep last night to compound this. Heading for an early night tonight. Have had no signs of achie legs - even after the two bike rides to work last week (Fri&Sat). Still a little phlem in back of throat...when do I call it for a waddle? Tomorrow if gunk is not noticable? Might be at the stage where a run could move it on? Cheers, D 10K Training Program Question - TheEd - 23-11-2010 a light walk would be in order but would certainly not consider an elevated heart rate form of exercise for now recover well TheEd 10K Training Program Question - Hyperspace - 24-11-2010 TheEd, Just about scraped a decent nights sleep last night - managed to get to work early. All morning felt like my edge is coming back but were losing it at same time! Were a bit sniffly by lunch...hit the gym for a 10min cycle and 15 min row, easy - steady HR...felt much better after... Finished work late to get some quiet time in - Had a 45 min session of traditional acupuncture straight after - 1st session with new therapist. Couldn't believe how well I sounded talking to him about my energy levels and recent progress with energy management! What a boost. Had a 3 x 10 mins snoozes with needles in. All good. We talked sympathetic and parasympathetic responses, my semi-routine relaxation-response exercises and building them into my day more passively using trance techniques - interesting stuff... Aiming for an early night tonight - might hit gym again tomorrow for a little more rowing - running seems a bit out of question as its very cold and snowy here, too cold in fact I feel for 'getting' back into it - what say you? Medium session in gym on rower? Cheers, Daryl PS Whats the weather like there? 10K Training Program Question - TheEd - 25-11-2010 Sounds like you getting the run of the green complete .. and no pun intended rowing is certainly a very good exercise for all over conditioning enjoy TheEd ps.. weather .. snow and to add: alternative healing always a good thing when no drink is available 10K Training Program Question - Hyperspace - 26-11-2010 TheEd, Back on the road today, just got in from 250+ mile drive - staying at folks for w/end. More Masters degree lectures next week. Hopefully more prepared and aware than last time when I picked up the cold. Generally feeling OK so far this eve, feeling quite happy, although this might be masking a little tiredness. Had a late finish at work y/day so not best wind last night. Planning a quiet evening this eve and reasonably early night. Were thinking of trying a waddle tomorrow - what say you? No gunk now so should be OK? Look forward to hearing from you coach! D 10K Training Program Question - TheEd - 27-11-2010 a walk / jog should do the trick warm up with a walk and then jog followed by a cool down have a grand weekend TheEd ps.. best for the week ahead 10K Training Program Question - Hyperspace - 27-11-2010 TheEd, Frosty morn here: Walked for 5 mins then jogged on. 5.5km in 35mins. 122 HR Avg. Was a fantastic morning, a real winter-wonderland! All in all hardly felt like any effort...something I should take forward to the next run I feel?! Another one tomorrow morn would be convenient as amongst nice surroundings...? D |
