Session was tougher than anticipated due to not eating and drinking enough through the day...... The reason, I was non stop busy all day, as I found out I was travelling to India first thing Wedensday morning, so my race and all other training has gone out of the window for the moment. I am going to try and keep some sort of running going on the hotel treadmill if possible, otherwise back to square one.... Best Regards. Dean.
RE: 10km Training - Want to be XC Ready by October - TheEd - 19-08-2019 Hi dean, how are things looking now? I am still in India, I have had to cut back the training a little as I only have 45-60 mins to train on a morning before work. Just not possible on a night as I have no idea what time I am back in the hotel. Plan for the week if I can achieve it..... Wednesday - 45 min easy jog Thursday - Interval session, I won't be able to do 2km session as not enough time. Friday - Strength Saturday - 35-40 min easy Sunday - Hopefully get a day off and fit in a long dull treadmill jog. Best Regards. Dean.
RE: 10km Training - Want to be XC Ready by October - TheEd - 22-08-2019 OK dean, good luck with the change to routine, keep the running more as an enjoyment and not as a stress onwards TheEd RE: 10km Training - Want to be XC Ready by October - dmw9255 - 22-08-2019 (22-08-2019, 05:06 AM)TheEd Wrote: OK dean, good luck with the change to routine, keep the running more as an enjoyment and not as a stress Hi TheEd, I have enough stress with work, so not going to add to it with my training. I am just doing what I can when I can, and enjoying it Best Regards. Dean.
RE: 10km Training - Want to be XC Ready by October - TheEd - 06-12-2019 Hi Dean, hope all good your side and things are beginning to become balanced TheEd RE: 10km Training - Want to be XC Ready by October - dmw9255 - 06-12-2019 Hi TheEd, I don't quite have the balance to keep to a consistent routine due to work travel. I am still plodding along, but taking it easy, as my left achilles is reminding me why I tend to do more easy jogging than running hard and racing. Since I was last on the forums in India, I have traveled to PNG, Slovakia, Saudi and have an imminent trip to Qatar. As the trips are usually 2-4 weeks in duration, it is incredibly difficult to get any consistency. I am splitting my time between my indoor bike and running outdoors. I am hoping for a bit more balance in the new year, but who knows?? Best Regards. Dean.
