New event challenge - TheEd - 11-03-2010 definitely on a different level, just from looking at the pulse range have you recorded your 'fighting weight' your current in shape weight nice to see the improvement TheEd New event challenge - DaveM40 - 11-03-2010 Hi TheEd - I have been recording my weight daily for a while now in my trainin diary. Things have changed a little - last year when training for 1500m I was steady at 68/69 kilo - since changing to 10k I am steady at 67 touching 66. I guess this is down to bigger weekly distances - 50 to 60 kilometers last year 70 to 80 this year? I am 1.83m tall and a "skinny" build. I was at 67 on race day last weekend ... cales: New event challenge - TheEd - 12-03-2010 ok so best fighting weight 67 good to note Cheers TheEd New event challenge - DaveM40 - 13-03-2010 Hi ThEd - did my longest run today. I have had a good week. All sessions completed with 70k total (82 last week) I did not do regular tempo Saturday as I had to run a leg for my club in a road relay competition. Good fun running over a hilly course of approx 8.7k. I ran in 32.26 which my Garmin told me was 3.46 per kilo. Not bad on such a tough course. My average HR was 160 with a max of 171 on the finish stretch. I feel good today and did a very relaxed 10k easy run. I will do 10 x 400 this week and fartlek. Cross country race Saturday. After I intend to do a normal week 1 with 5 x 2000 then a taper week 3 after for a 10k road race on 11-04-10 - how does this sound?? All the best D New event challenge - TheEd - 21-03-2010 DaveM40 Wrote:After I intend to do a normal week 1 with 5 x 2000 then a taper week 3 after for a 10k road race on 11-04-10 - how does this sound?? Let's see how you feel after the race as you can always get away with 6 x 1000's instead of the 2k session Cheers TheEd |
