How to get a Big Swede running fast! - Big Swede - 13-02-2009

Time to share!

Work is really getting in my way right now. My workingdays are from 8am to 9pm! The only way I could do the 1kConfused was to do them early this morning on a treadmill. Never done intervals on a treadmill before. Had a hard time getting the rests right and it takes a while to get the right tempo when you start. The indoor temp made me overheat and on the fifth a had to slow down. On the last I somehow managed to touch the emergencystring at 800m! Didn´t get the restingpulse this time.

Heres the data:

1. 4:03 AHR 149 MHR 155
2. 4:01 AHR 149 MHR 156
3. 4:05 AHR 151 MHR 159
4. 4:05 AHR 155 MHR 161
5. 4:21 AHR 155 MHR 161
6. 3:26 AHR 155 NHR 162 (800m)

For the total: AHR 149 MHR 162

I probably have to work from 8am-8pm both saturday and sunday but i can do some running after work. So whats next?

Ok will do so! Assume you mean 30-40min easy?

Feel a bit stiff in my front thighs today. But that is probably to be expected.

1kConfused on tuesday, so this is week 1 and moving on to week 2 next week? We are excluding the 2kConfused to see the difference?

Enjoy the weekend,

my bad .. yes .. 30 to 40 mins

well I didn't want to risk the 2000's while you have been feeling down however in the next 3 week cycle you should have recovered and then you will definitely do the 2k's

Are you more tired from being on your feet at present related to non running activities?

Cheers

you mentioned a change in working hours, so I need to know whether you have been standing a fair amount more than normal

because if so, the legs will take a little longer to recover

but they will adapt

Thanks

Felt ok today. A little more effort than yesterday. Still a little stiff and worn in my front thighs.
