Obsessive Runner - Snads - 04-06-2009 Hi TheEd, OK knocked out day 10, 1 hour easy 10.9k ave hr 159, max 181, felt ok, day 11 rest, day 12 tried 5k paced did 22:07 ave HR181. nightmare it was 27c, 12c higher than average and I had to stop 4 times with pains in my side. The time excludes the stops which totalled approx 5mins. Day 13 yesterday 1 hour easy, no HR data. Feel OK today and to carry on programme as I have a 5.9m race on Day 19. Should I stick to the programme for the next 5 days? Issue now is it's knocked my confidence a bit what with the cold, then the sore legs, then the pain in my side, I don't know where to pitch the runs and certainly not how I approach the race. After this race I'm planning a 10k 3 weeks later and a 5k 3 weeks after that. My intention was to rest then for 2 weeks, and then go on to the off-training and then the build up before going back on the 3 weekly cycles. Comments greatly appreciated. Cheers Snads.
