What am I running tomorrow? Beatule p.s. thank you for pr. msg! 5km training - TheEd - 23-03-2010 OK B .. 3 x 1000m 3.50 to 3.55 per k with 2 minute Rest the idea here is to feel relaxed and comfortable focusing on pace judgement in the last 1k you can accelerate the last 400m as though you finishing a race please let me know how it goes TheEd 5km training - beatule1 - 23-03-2010 Hi TheEd, I did 3x1000s. I chose 3:52 per km. Felt fine it took some breath away as it's not jogging, but could have kept for much longer with that speed.. Last 400m i started with 3:30 pace, then increesed to 3:20 and finished with 3:12! Beatule 5km training - TheEd - 23-03-2010 grand .. now look after yourself till Friday no monkey business TheEd 5km training - beatule1 - 23-03-2010 Thank you.. 5km training - beatule1 - 26-03-2010 I think I just need to miss the next race... I puked after 3km in a midle of the road! and had to pull out... I was trying to keep with one of the guys.. I think went too fast.. I did 3km in just over 11min.. So ambarrasing.. 5km training - TheEd - 26-03-2010 Hi B .. nope .. get back on the horse you went through 3km in around 11 minutes, that is far too fast if you get to 4km over 16 minutes you should be able to accelerate due to your lack of aerobic conditioning you cannot and must not go out fast as you put your system under duress too early and without an endurance base to work off you do not give yourself much chance do a 4km time-trial around Monday and I am sure you would go sub 16 minutes please learn from this experience and start racing using your head with a very real understanding of your physical training You should have gone close to sub 20 today don't be disheartened .. BUT .. you must learn from this experience chin up .. the next time you will crack it Cheers TheEd 5km training - beatule1 - 03-04-2010 Hi TheEd! No I didn't give up! sorry for not replying, been away to France for snowboarding and didn't have Internet over there.. I still did that 4km run on Tuesday. I had to do it indoors as didn't have a chance anywhere else.. I did 4min/km and felt quet easy! so I guess if it's not my stup....ess I would be fine.. As I was a complete beginner in snowboarding had lots of falls!! Had lots of fun, White panda eyes and unfortunately some pains too.. my knees and neck are sore - fell on them and got twisted to opposite directions a few times...:mmm: I'm sure you know how it is! I'll give a few days rest and will let you know. Hope it will eas up quickly! hope you are well. Beatule |
