Hi TheEd,

Yes you are right it's every last Friaday of the month. both 26th this month and next one is Last Fridays Smile

Race is 12:30 lunch time in a park Smile

So wednesday just 10min? :mmm:

Wednesday .. warm up around (minimum) 10 minutes then 10 minutes at anticipated pace for Friday and then cool down

so not just 10 minutes Wink

Sad i want to cry Sad

Clubs results 20:41, but my watch showed 20:21. There's no chips, they time by numbers on our chests with their stop watches.. In any way bad news.. weather was awfull, it was such a strong wind that i had to push against it on a 2nd and 3rd kms.. where my time was ruined..

By my watch it looked like that:
1st km 3:52
2nd km 4:10 - against the wind
3rd km 4:21 - against the wind, i literally couldn't push against it! (why it had to be on a day??)
4th km 4:00 - coming back with a wind
5th km 3:58

I know if not that weather i would have done better.. over all 5th out of 43 women.. Sad still ... maybe i'm not good enough to brake 20min..for the first 4 ladies wind wans't a difficulty for them...

well at least you have the challenge of the 15th Feb to feel good about Wink

I truthfully wouldn't attach so much energy in emotion to the run, it was not as though you didn't break 21 minutes

but

for the future stay focused on the task at hand and hopefully March can be better

If it makes you feel any better consider doing a 4k time-trial in the same environment as previous trials .. this would be for Tuesday

are you able to slot in a !hr run this weekend and if you doing the test Tuesday, then rather not run Monday

B .. sent you a message but would like to say a few things here as well

your running is actually very successful at this moment ... you don't train specifically for running and you don't train everyday and you having fun ...

you will get under 20 minutes and I think you will even get to sub 19 minutes

so enjoy what you doing and the next race will be better

and as mentioned .. plan your challenges better

Hi TheEd,

I did 4km trial. Again I was measuring speed and distance with my watch, so not sure how accurate it was between houses. I noticed a few times it was changing from 20km/h to 13km/h even I didn't feel I changed my pace. It didn't happen a lot so I hope it is fairly accurate..
So 4km in 15:58, I didn't have straight way next to work so it was little bit twist and turn.. My previous 4km trials were next to home - straight streets and measured with Map My Runs..
When I finished I thought I could push myself slightly harder.. But was too lateSmile

nice B ... you are pretty consistent there

and it seems that the wind affected you last Friday and it with a little more strength gained over time those runs will be easier
