5km training - beatule1 - 09-02-2010 Oh dear! Why im so stubborn? then i'm in pain.. i still had a fun session! I nearly died at the end but it's ok.. 2:15 and 2:06 / 600m is a massive difference! I jumped from 16km/h to 17km/h! :duh: somehow i didn't realise that before.. So i did 1x600m in 2:15 (felt ok, around 85%) and 4x600m in 2:06 i thought i'll manage one more but my stomach started going inside out.. I rested 2min in between. Was enough. With 4x600s i felt around 95%! but i loved it as it's short! I receaved confirmation for my race this month!urf: And other good news, i managed to organise my working hours to start later on Thursday, so i can fit in shortish run (up to 50min)! Beatule 5km training - TheEd - 09-02-2010 we try to provide sessions in increments to build up your confidence however you seem to be happiest lying on yr back close to the death's door there is training and then there is training for you nice going .. in a month or 2 you would be up to 2:06 with 90 second rest and it should feel the same as doing it at 2:15 pace onwards and forwards and again .. good session TheEd 5km training - beatule1 - 09-02-2010 Thank you.. What shall i do next? :jester: Beatule 5km training - TheEd - 09-02-2010 easy run of 1hr .. would like to keep you on 1hr easy runs so that it compensates for the little overall running you do each week, then we can put out more quality sessions How things sounding? I could never run after 12pm, no energy at all! Morning is the best for me.. any opinion on running morning versus evening? Beatule p.s. What's next? 5km training - TheEd - 12-02-2010 am running is an individual thing, the body clock struggles more in the am and it is all about the body being alert or awake to cope with the rigours of running. Blood circulation Saturday .. warm up and warm down and in-between you can go for a nice 3km paced run Sunday .. 1hr easy and relaxed Tuesday another session This should set you up nicely on a routine Cheers and enjoy TheEd 5km training - beatule1 - 12-02-2010 Thank you... MMMMmmm is it possible to leave my Sundays free? it's my only day free.. Could we put my programme on different days? Beatule 5km training - TheEd - 12-02-2010 If you are able to cope with 1hr runs without any problems then move it to Monday .. Tuesday is the quality day Cheers and enjoy the weekend TheEd |
