try to take it as easy as possible during the week

monitor your morning pulse rate

TheEd
ps.. you may be picking up a bug, especially if some people around you have been sick

5km Training Assistance - J.R - 13-12-2017

Hi Ed,

RHR - 42 bpm lowest & 52 bpm highest over 5 minutes on polar monitor.
40 minutes easy this morning and pulse 120 bpm

5km Training Assistance - TheEd - 13-12-2017

what was your pace for the 120 bpm JR?

rolling well, the 1 minute fast is at predicted pace for Saturday, no need to go faster, so make it controlled

enjoy

TheEd

Hi Ed,

6:00 min per km at 120 bpm which is good (70% of HRMax).

Regards
J.R.

6 x 1 min fast and 1 min slow after a 30 minute w/up and 18 minute cool down.
1 minute fast @ 140 bpm Zone 3 @ 4:45 pace (both on average) - took it easy.

have a good one

Hi Ed,

Last Sat 5k Parkrun in 20:52.
Clearly nowhere near the fitness level of sub 20 achieved numerous times this year already.
New maximum heart rate high recorded 174 bpm during this parkrun session
Average HR 164 bpm - new high recorded for this parkrun session.
Just mentioning the Highs as it is not a good phase I am experiencing.
Morning pulse varies between 39 and 60 for the last few days which is weird.
Had gastro the morning of the 3 x 1 mile session but persevered in Zone 4
taking the elevated HR into account.
Resting today and LR tomorrow.
Stomach stabilising nicely now and getting lots of water and extra sleep during the day while on leave.

Cheers
John

JR you must have picked up a bug which lingered in your system, these things happen, so don't be too hard on your self

moving on forward

TheEd
