normally I like for the 2000's to be on a Thursday as the bulk of the training slots in from the 2000's till the 1000's

and with this a long run falls on a Sunday, so you have time to recover afterwards

Alright then=) I'll make the training schedule around that instead!
But there may be races that I will like to run "outside the schedule". In that case, like before, i'll let you know in advance so we move things around. Sounds good?

For now i'll do the 4K TT on Saturday and will get back to you for specifics=))

Thanks!

Dear friend, Hi!

5K @ 20:20

Running conditions were bad: 88 degrees (felt like 97), Humidity point at 77% and Gusty winds up to 22 mph. I had to work all day, so i was tired, but anxious and pumped!
I also forgot wearing my gps and there were no k or mile marks along the way (only the 1st mile, which couldn't be accurate, and the 3rd mile)

Since we were using this result to determine new cycle splits pace and i did so bad, what should we do know? Should I postpone and try to do better a couple of days from now, or we take it from here; maybe from my last 10K race instead...

...advice please!

Best regards,

no need to change anything just yet, look to do the 2000m session at the same pace as your last session over that distance

start first 3 at previous pace and then see if there is any energy to increase the speed

feedback important

Thanks for the support. On that practice i ran the first 3 2000s' @ 7:50 and the last two @ 8:01+/-
I'll try to run them all @ 7:50 at least or better

Thanks

no ..you actually try to run 5 seconds per km faster

so you increase your speed

that is only if you have the energy

Thanks for getting back soon! Couldn't make it today; had to do some cleaning at the store and electricity went out so i got delayed by 2 hrs.

Planning on waking up early tomorrow and run 75 then. I'll get back to you on Thursday. Thanks!

in such situations try not to stress, running should always be enjoyable

Good luck
