That isn't so much a problem

tomorrow 1hr up to 10km

then we back to quality next week

TheEd
ps.. how is your week looking?

5km training - beatule1 - 04-12-2009

Ok! Will do tomorrow!
Next week - all good can run any day, just Friday night will have Christmas party, so not sure with Saturday morning runSmile

And then the following Friday! Race!Smile

I was wondering how much body fat effects speed of running?
Were you seeing ladies with a certain body fat % running faster?
As I think exess weight slows you down.. ??

weight does have a factor on speed

What ideal % would be for women? As if it's too low it's not healthy for ladies and if it too much can't carry themselves..Smile

I ran yesterday 1h what's for tomorrow?

you can do an easy 20 to 30 minutes Monday and would you be able to do a quality session on Tuesday?

a healthy margin for women would be around and below 10%

elite athletes is a whole different margin

Cheers

TheEd

5km training - beatule1 - 06-12-2009

yes i can do that!

wow 10% is low. i allways thought and read everywhere that less than 15% is not healthy for women as it's balances out hormones (like stopped periods) which might lead to reduced bone dencity and other problems.. ?

so what % has to have elite athletes? :mmm:

What your advice would be for someone like me? at the moment i think im around 16%. would my weight effect my performance? (to get to top 3 runners in a future!!!Smile )

Beatule
p.s. sorry again for million questions!

Hi B .. I wouldn't worry too much about body fat etc at this moment

at a later stage we can start looking at diet and other aspects

keep it simple for now and once you start training towards a sub 19 minute 5km, we can assess things

sub 19 Wink

Cheers
