coming off base phase/when to up the pace. - JonathanWardley - 25-04-2019 Thanks Ed, Feel fresh and ready to do some running. It is still hot but will do as you say slow things down and keep it real! Regards jon. coming off base phase/when to up the pace. - TheEd - 25-04-2019 Good to see things are positive TheEd coming off base phase/when to up the pace. - JonathanWardley - 26-04-2019 Hi TheEd, Just to say i rolled out a 20 minute 5k this morning it was 30ð by 5.30am so gulped plenty of water and stuck to a balanced plan of running at 85/90 percent effort was fine just hot as expected. I think things will be good when the weather cools off. No strain or hassle at this point.. Have a keen eye on london marathon! I think we all know who will win. All for now jon. coming off base phase/when to up the pace. - JonathanWardley - 14-05-2019 Hi TheEd, Just a quick round up to say i took a full week off running as the heat was wearing me out. I dropped in a 5k this morning 20 mins on the dot not too hard but a fair messure of where i am now. I plan to race in pattaya 10k in july. Guess i have work to do but i am sure things will be better after a few cycles. Regards jon. coming off base phase/when to up the pace. - TheEd - 17-05-2019 nice to hear Jono any plans for some cooler weather running in the future? TheEd coming off base phase/when to up the pace. - JonathanWardley - 22-05-2019 Hi TheEd, Just to say i have got a firm plan in order my first race is on the 30th June. Leading on to pattaya marathon or in my case quarter marathon. At present i am adding some nice distance of between seven to eight miles a day with twenty minute tempo runs at 4 mins per k I think end of the month will be a good time to do a TT and go on to the three week cycle from there. It was 30 degrees by 6am yestoday morning hench only running tempo pace and no real quality workouts. All for now. jon. coming off base phase/when to up the pace. - TheEd - 23-05-2019 This sounds good Jon hopefully the running can be enjoyable TheEd coming off base phase/when to up the pace. - JonathanWardley - 24-05-2019 Thanks, TheEd, I think good things can happen now as I have built in a solid plan of attack to include afternoon naps diet in check and very little stress! I did a hard fartlek this morning 6,5,4,3,2,1 minutes above 10k race pace was tough but doable. Looking forward to running with more structure at the end of the month now the heat is subsiding well to 25-26 degrees anyway. All for now. jon.:tourist: coming off base phase/when to up the pace. - TheEd - 04-06-2019 Hi Jon, how have things been progressing since your last post? you were coming along quite nicely TheEd |
