How to train - Raginglynx - 21-11-2010 This was actually something complete different than what I had expected. I thought it was a cross-training track, but instead it was like mountainclimbing combined with fallen trees, cliffs and downhill running in mud and stones. It was a 1.5k track which you ran over and over again until 90 min had passed. So unfortunately there was no chance to keep a pace, and almost no chance to increase pace after 1 hour. I was happy to manage at all ![]() There were a lot of tough work for the thighs because of the climbing. How do you propose we change next weeks program? rgds, Christian PS. The legs feel fully recovered now and I'm ready for some action. cheers, Christian How to train - TheEd - 24-11-2010 Hi Christian .. you must be careful that you don't develop a pattern that can throw your running out floorball one week and obstacle courses the following and if you do want to do such things, then this is fine but you must realise that at times it can come at a cost to your running, so as long as you are not looking for direct running results during this period then all is fine. a forewarning so as to avoid future complications so enjoy for now and maybe consider doing the Build Up routine now http://www.time-to-run.com/training/10k/buildup.htm as the structure is more flexible and it will also provide you with a good start and foundation to build on take a look and consider TheEd |
