The Ultra Trail Mount Moodie (UTMM) on 31 January is the official national championships in the Ultra Trail category for 2015 and the overall winners, as well as winners in the Veterans (40-49) and Masters (50+) categories will be crowned as South African Champions.
The 2013 SA Ultra Trail Champs at Addo was our first ever national championships in trail running in South Africa and since there was no championship this year, the winners on that occasion, Nic de Beer and Tracy Zunckel, are the reigning national champions.
The necessary information about the event is available on utmm.co.za with Clive Smart of Ilanga Trails (ilangatrails.co.za) as the event organiser. Please note that the event also offer other races on the day but that only the ultra (80km) will be a national championship. It is the policy of Trail Running South Africa not to be involved in the direct organization of any national championship event and runners must adhere to the race rules as set out by the local organisers.
