2:00 p.m. – Special Red Rally
Marion Dewar Plaza at Ottawa City Hall
A special Red Rally to launch Canada Army Run Weekend will be hosted by Commander of the Canadian Army Lieutenant-General Peter Devlin and Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson. During this rally, 12 deserving members of the Army Team from across the country will be recognized for their work in support of the Army’s missions at home and abroad.

Saturday, Sept. 17

9:00 – 3K Friendship Run with Running Room’s Founder and President John Stanton
Laurier Avenue in front of City Hall
This is also an opportunity to meet this year’s 35+ pace bunnies.

9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Army Equipment Display and Sports Expo
Cartier Square Drill Hall

6:00 p.m. – Pasta Dinner
Pasta Dinner, served military field-kitchen-style by government leaders and local VIPs
Confederation Park

Jason Dunkerley, three-time Paralympian medal recipient
John Stanton, founder of The Running Room and member of The Order of Canada
Sgt Jamie MacIntyre, benificiary of Soldier On

Sunday, September 18
12:00 midnight - The KAF Canada Army Run, Kandahar, Afghanistan

7:30 a.m. – 5K opening ceremonies
7:45 a.m. – 5K start for injured/ill soldiers and athletes with disabilities
8:00 a.m. – 5K mass start
8:30 a.m. – Half marathon opening ceremonies
8:45 a.m. – Half marathon start for injured/ill soldiers and athletes with disabilities
9:00 a.m. – Half marathon mass start

11:30 a.m. - Awards. City Hall Stage, facing Confederation Park
