Ethiopians Yekeber Bayabel and Genet Yalew won Sunday’s 44th Saucony Egmond Half Marathon. He had the finishing stretch along Boulevard Noord to himself and completed the race in 1:08:08. High southerly winds made it the slowest race since 1985. On track for a medal for much of the race, Abdi Nageeye developed a side stitch in the last few kilometres and had to concede to Bernard Kipyego and Abera Kuma, who finished second and third. Saturday night, 29th August 2015, was the 6th Midnight Run in Helsinki. This year’s event gathered close to 11,000 runners to the Senate Square to run the 10 km loop in the city centre of Helsinki. Today, during a thrilling final, John Mwangangi won the Dam tot Damloop for the second time. In an epic duel, the 23-year old Kenyan knocked out his rival Nguse Amlosom, who won the event last year.
