Wykes and Kortchaguina win Eastside 10K
VANCOUVER. September 14th. Canadian Olympian Dylan Wykes and Toronto’s Lioudmila Kortchaguina, the current Canadian Women’s Marathon Champion, recorded impressive victories at Saturday’s inaugural Vancouver Eastside 10K, a Canada Running Series event. VANCOUVER – Cross Country fans watched some great races unfold today in Vancouver, B.C., with the 2012 Canadian Cross Country Championships at Jericho Park. Cameron Levins of Black Creek, B.C., and Megan Brown of Guelph, Ont., were crowned the 2012 Canadian Champions in the senior race while Dylan Brown of Newmarket, Ont., and Jillian Forsey of Kippens, NFLD., took the junior titles. Coolsaet wins Half in Vancouver
VANCOUVER, BC – 06/24/2012 – Olympic-bound athlete Reid Coolsaet finished first at the Scotiabank Vancouver Half-Marathon today, in his final run before the 2012 London Olympics. Elite runner Kip Kangogo and Olympic athlete Eric Gillis finished second place and third place respectively in an exciting finish to today’s half-marathon race. The Scotiabank Vancouver Half-Marathon & 5K race brought out more than 7,000 runners to the city’s scenic Stanley Park where thousands of spectators cheered and more than $630,000 was raised for 60 local charities.
