Pole Vault
BARCELONA- Shawnacy Barber of Toronto, Ont., has won Canada’s first medal at the 2012 World Athletics Junior Championships in Barcelona, Spain. Barber won bronze in the boys pole vault in a new Canadian junior record of 5.55-metres. Barber’s outstanding performance today places him second on the Canadian all-time list behind Douglas Wood’s 1991 performance of 5.61-metres. [Read more…]

Shawnacy Barber of Toronto, Ont., has a new personal best in the men’s Pole vault. His jump of 5.08-metres at the New Balance Nationals in New York, New York is also a new Canadian Junior record improving Taylor Petrucha’s mark of 5.00-metres established in 2006. [Read more…]
