The 2014 Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend supported $32.3 million in economic activity for the Province of Ontario, of which $21.8 was in Ottawa, according to a newly released economic impact assessment produced by the Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance. Glasgow, SCO – The Canadian athletics Commonwealth team took home five medals on day four of track and field competition at the Commonwealth Games. Derek Drouin of Corunna, Ont., and Brianne Theisen-Eaton of Humboldt, Sask., won gold; Jessica Zelinka of London, Ont., won silver; and Julie Labonté of Ste-Justine, Que., and Michael Mason of Nanoose Bay, B.C., picked up bronze medals. Brent Lakatos and Diane Roy win Para-athletics Track titles
Moncton, N.B. – Brent Lakatos of Dorval, Que., and Diane Roy of Sherbrooke, Que., won a pair of Para-athletics national titles on day two of the Canadian Track and Field Championships.
